Seaweed on Somes Sound is so close to the water that you can dangle your feet from the deck and almost touch the water at high tide. Sitting on the deck makes you feel as if you are actually out on a boat. The sunrises from Parkman and Sargent mountains are a great way to start the day but if you are a late riser the sunsets are lovely, too. Staying at Seaweed is a time to get in touch with nature and yourself and to get away from the high tech world. There is a radio for easy listening and maybe a ball game but you'll be too busy watching the activity in the Sound or relaxing in the out of doors to miss all the hustle and bustle of life. Because of the island-central location, a day of sightseeing is an easy trek so you can come back to this serene setting in no time.
