The foyer to Village House boasts the original ticket booth from when it was a dance hall
Village House was erected as The Village Improvement Association Building(VIA Hall) where numerous dances were held as fund raisers. The owners bought it and changed it into a wonderfully unique open concept home. It is full of comforts with alot of the original elements transferred cleverly into a working home. Centrally located between Acadia National Park's Seawall, Wonderland and Ship Harbor and the town of Southwest Harbor, plus it's just a short walk to the town dock. If you want to leave the driving to the (free) Island Explorer, Village House is right on the pick up route. Village House has so much to offer and a lot of history, too.
